The Back Story: The Banky™ Awards are presented by the Institute for Extraordinary Banking™ to recognize top-performing community banks. The event is unique, but no one could capture its magic.
The Challenge: Since 2016, we’ve been tasked to create hundreds of videos that bring national recognition to the awards and spotlight the extraordinary work that the banks are doing in their communities. At the event, we interview dozens of Bank CEO’s, coach them on how to speak in front of a camera, and empower them to deliver a powerful message via video.
The Win: Just like the Grammys are to music, the Emmys are to TV and the Tony’s are to theater, the Banky Awards have become an established brand in the banking world. Participating banks stand head and shoulders above their local competitors.

The Back Story: A local dentist opened an office in a high-end neighborhood in coastal florida that caters to english and spanish-speaking population. How does “the new kid in the block” compete with established and commercial dental practices?
The Challenge: Dr. Alex tried to create his own videos, and to capture customer testimonials for his practice. But whenever he was in front of a camera he would freeze, stutter, and break out in nervous sweat. His customer testimonials also came out flat, almost robotic. You could sense the discomfort in them. They said the right words, but they were nervous.
The Win: On the day of the shoot, he and I (Federico) engaged in deep conversation about his practice, his family and his vision while the team was busy setting up the lights, cameras, tripods, and microphones around us. They turned on the cameras, and without skipping a beat Dr. Alex and I continued the interview. His warmth and deep sense of caring came through without rehearsal or inhibition. Dr. Alex now has a phenomenal set of videos that capture the warmth and family oriented nature of his practice helping him rise above his bigger, more established, and less personable competitors.

The Back Story: They were breaking record after record for their financial performance, but failed to discover their voice and tell their story. They had been a finalist for three years in a row at the Institute for Extraordinary Banking’s Banky™ Awards.
The Challenge: Creating a video about a bank is as exciting as watching grass grow (or so they thought), but we took a different approach. We interviewed farmers, business owners, and entrepreneur clients; from hourly employees buying their first home, to CEOs of multi-billion dollar companies.
The Win: They won Extraordinary Bank of the Year. They got a car and tens of thousands of dollars in prizes. Since then, we’ve helped the bank through a name change, created a values-based recruiting program, and multiple other projects. Since we started working together in 2019, the bank has nearly doubled in size.
The Back Story: Adam and Kelli are phenomenal entrepreneurs with a deep commitment to giving back. Their gym brings people together from all walks of life. They believe in supporting veterans, adaptive athletes and rescue dogs.
The Challenge: Their gym is extraordinary. The camaraderie is unique. They put on great events at a great personal expense but didn’t get the visibility. We were hired to give voice to their unusual brand of community magic.
The Win: Adam and Kelli were in tears when they saw the video. They told me this was the first time anyone had captured their story of building community rooted in deep values. They now stand in a category of their own. They’re so much more than a crossfit gym!
